How long will this car last? Had timing belt/all belts replaced. Brakes front and back new including drums and rotors. Changed all fluids. changed all tires. Just changed oil again and due to timing belt changed coolant was changed and I will be chaning next week transmission fluid after last change 1 year ago. I read that transmission fluid should not be flushed rather changed slowly over time.

And I am going to replace all suspension components: shocks and mounts etc. but not springs. And I will be replacing rear trailing arm bushings. Car seems to run good with no problems from engine/transmission. Only problem is shocks.

After all this is done can I expect another 100,000 miles trouble free from this car or will I be spending more money?

 

Yes you should easily be able to go another 100k without anything too major going wrong. About the only other thing I can think of would be your cv joint boots on the axles because they tend to go out around 150k or so but nothing major just keep an eye on them. Mine had slits in them for a very long time until one of them decided to blow out on me and slung the grease everywhere.

Everytime I was at the dealer getting warranty work done they would always have to remind me about the boots but I did get quite a few more years out of them till I had to replace the axles. I purchased a used set on here that only had 50k miles that someone did a swap.

Sounds like you have an automatic and I don't really know a lot about them but heard that the 92-95's were a lot better built. With you keeping the fluid changed it should def. help. I think honda says to change at 30k for the auto and 60k manual. They also don't recommend flushing the tranny and I'd never do it if I had a honda automatic. The manuals are great so that's what I stick with.

 

are the cv boot joints only on the front axles and not the rear for my car?

 

My single cam had about 240,000 miles before it gave out.

 

Correct, your car is FWD so only axles in the front

 

Got a 99 so I hope mine lasts beyond 200k (currently sitting at around 115)
