92-00 civic d16/d15 5 speed tranny
i have a d16y8 5 spped but i want to do beter mpgs if i get a dx tranny will that work cuz i have a y8 tranny right now or wat can i do about it i just want beter mpgs motor swap/tranny swap HELPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you can get the transmission out of a 96-00 hatchback (DX/CX) or Civic HX coupe, you'll improve your fuel economy even further over the DX/LX transmission. The '92-95 CX/VX transmission is pretty tall and you might not like how it drives which is why I suggest the transmissions above.
