help: car wont start if i dont jam the clutch through the floor!

Default help: car wont start if i dont jam the clutch through the floor!

a few days ago i noticed my car wouldnt start as i pressed the clutch like i normally would. i released the clutch and the engage it again and it would start, today as i tryed turning it on i wouldnt start till i jammed the clutch the whole way down splaying lots of force. its a 91 civic s with a b18c/lsd tranny/ hasport hydro conversion lever. thanks

There is a interlock that dissallows the car starting unless the clutch is pressed, and likely that switch has gone bad, causing need for excessive force.

the switch is cheap and will likely fix your problem.
