Default 86mm gsr rebuild. what over bore is safe?

i am planning on getting my 86mm b18c1 rebuilt. starting to smoke at high rpms and seems like it has a good amount of blow by. the block is good shape ( no scaring or anything.) the crank is a mircopolished 89mm ls crank. would i need to get the block honed? it seems like there is not much room to do so. my cr is about 12.1 and and runs in 93 octane. any problems i could run in

honing is like a surface treatment. It barely removes any material at all. Boring is when your remove enough material to effect the size of piston required. if you can't feel the ridge at the top of the cylinder or any lines in the walls with your finger nail, then honing the block should be enough to clean it up.
