will a P28 ecu work on a 93 original Gsr teg for temporary use? i think i got a bad ecu and i just wanted something for now to get the car running but i only have a spare good P28 ecu for now.

 

Your car is an obd0 so you'll need a conversion harness. And is the ecu stock? If so then don't even bother using it.

 

93's should be OBD1, so you won't need a conversion harness. You're better off getting the P28 chipped and reflashing the B17 basemap on it to make it run correctly. P28 fuel maps may cause damage to your motor since it's for a completely different engine.

 

93's are obd1? I never knew that. Just read it in the FAQ and they are obd1.

 

I thought that 91 and up where obd1?

 

its 92+. 90-91 are obd0.

 

i just wanted to use to see if the ecu was bad. temporary use. the car is not running at the moment .
