Ok, I am putting 2 mufflers on my turbo tegra, one on each side...words of wisdom?
I know it won't help that much, but I barely see dual mufflers on hondas/acuras. But anyway, I bought 2 apex'i turbo mufflers, and am going to have them put on this week. I was wondering if there is any good/bad ways to tee the pipe, or anything I should be careful of. Is it easy to make another hanger for the second muffler? Thanks
how about no.
dont be stupid, 4 cylinders, 1 header, 1 MUFFLER
if you run a 3inch exhaust its more than enough room to let the gases exit.
and thats only if your turbo. you bought turbo mufflers so i assume you are, if you arent one more
from me.
the bigger the exhaust piping the more power it makes, but if its too big you will KILL your low end. its a give and take.

Hell, while you're at it, why not run piping for 3 or 4 mufflers?
That'll really kill your exhaust gas velocity. If that's what you're trying to do.

2 mufflers will help make all of the power your going to need to spin those wheels boi.
2 mooflers = a bad idea.
Sell one and spend the money on some Omori gauges!!
Can I get an amen on this one?

As above..dont do it, apart from losing low end power/torque, it looks crap..sorry!
you do what you need to do to make up for your low self esteem. But, please, not at the expense of your car.
thats one of the funniest posts i've ever seen, why do something that will make you loose hp, look like ****, and cost more???
but then you and wilfong could have matching dual exausts

if you really want to do it, then just rig one up normally and mount the other one. so one of them is a dummy exhaust.
i wouldn't waste my time making both of them functional.

I doubt you are going to lose any back pressure at all if you just tee off at the end. In fact, it might even become more restrictive if you use a crappy/tiny tee. GL

Anyone who thinks backpressure is a good thing does not understand how an engine and exhaust work together. A good exhaust balances two things: 1) minimal backpressure, 2) without sacrificing high gas velocity.
This has been discussed many times. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=185545

2 mufflers on a 4 cylinder is a bad idea, but can somebody explain why the s2k has dual mufflers? I've always wondered about that.

And, yes, BACKPRESSURE is still your friend. You even said it yourself....
A good exhaust provides "minimal backpressure"
As long as there is SOME type of header, cat, piping, and muffler, you'll always have some backpressure.

do you know what backpressure is?? he would gain back pressure by teeing off... it would be more restrictive
