i was wondering if the type s airbox will fit on my ep3. i want to swap my aem intake for the stock airbox off my friends typeS. i just want to be sure things are them same before i take everything apart.

 

If you have a PRB/PRC intake manifold and throttle body yes.

but you guys have the plastic one right?

 

yeah i didnt even think about that. i have no idea what i have vs. what the type s has. if the airbox wont fit on my ep3 im assuming the intake wont fit on the typeS.? its a short ram v2.
anyway im sure i could dig up my stock air box somewhere because i keep everything, it just would be easier and beneficial to the both of us for me not to dig through my disorganized honda parts junkyard.

 

we have the same IM as the type-s i believe, def not a plastic IM.

the V2 might fit, i think it does.

 

if you have the same IM you should have the same throttle body so you can fit the DC5 intake.

I don't know much about EP3s

 

I have run the AEM v2 in my EP3 with both the K20A3 and K20A. No problems.

Not sure about other Intake systems like OEM or Mugen. Although the DC5 Mugen will be next on my list.

 

if that works then you must have the same IM.

but run Injen CAI like a man.

 

i think im more worried about fitting the stock dc5 intake assy. in the engine compartment of my ep3. rater then the actual pipe to throttle body fitment. either way ill try it in the near future. and report back
