Default Replacing Original O2 Sensor 90 crx Gonna Be Tight Any Suggestions?

heh yea seriously

I got a 90 dx that I am going to replace the O2 sensor on.

It seems to be the original so i figure 170k miles and 20 years it may need replacing.

Anyway so working on this thing is tough everything is very tight I expect the o2 sensor wont let me down on this..

Bought a 22mm O2 socket which seems a little lose on it but its 6 point.
And its 3/8ths drive which sucks because my breaker bar is half so i may have to use an adapter or trash another craftsman socket wrench.

It seems pretty tight in there so i cant get an impact wrench on it maybe if i had a flexible adapter.

I should probably do this in the next week or two.

ALSO someone told me DENSO brand are OEM and bosch are not that good..

Any suggestions any help????

Thanks

Yes heat it up, real good. It will come out. Stay away from Bosch. I ran one for 1 month, made my car run like **** and burn fuel. Installed a NGK/NTK all good. Also Borg/Warner is not bad.

Also get yourself a 22mm open/box wrench. You'll need it.

i use a 7/8 box wrench. its a better fit than a 22mm. i like to loosen the radiator fans and nudge them to the side. helps to clear up some room.

i did this till i replaced my manifold and my o2 was relocated to under the motor.

I'm running a bosh, and it seems fine. It was the most expensive one, and it had a warranty. If you can't get it loose, try heating it up with a torch. I couldn't get mine, so i just took it to a mechanic, and it took them an hour and 15 min!! It wasn't just me lol. They told me 20 bucks over the phone and ended up charging me 40

Its a lot easier with the O2 socket special tool that mechanics have. Pepboys sells them. They also use some type of spray solvent prior to loosening. Bosch works well for me so far, no more engine light and the car definitely runs much better. Watched my mechanic through the whole process took less than 15 minutes
