My buddy has a 91 hatch and the tach, fuel gauge, and water temp gauge don't work. I checked the grounds under the dash they were fine and pulled the cluster and looked for shorted wires. Any ideas where I should look next?

 

i would first try to find one that is working and swap it out....might just be a bad cluster

 

yea sound like a bad cluster i have a 91 si cluster i dont need but ive never shipped anything lol =p

 

this isnt a bad cluster.a bad nothing...
been there done that.
ive had this problem in 3 of my 7 ef hatchies. its the whole harness. behind the cluster. runs down to fuse box and main relay.cluster. emergancy lights.everything on the dash even the clock. runs down to the main harness by your feet. its 2 pieces. believe me. this is your problem... i promisee lol
