ok so im running crome on my p61 and my friend has a hondata s200 laying around should i buy it off him? i asked my tuner and said no. what you guys think?

 

Well, if your tuner cant tune the S200, then what use is it to you ? .

Unless you bought his exact setup, you will need to retune the s200 , and that unit was/is only tunable at authorized tuners. ( aka , if your tuner doesn't have the software, skip the idea ).

 

If your buddy also has rom editor software, then it is a good system . ( but all the people I know, no one ever bought the software as it was an extra $ 195 )

 

crome pro is free now....no point in buying the s200

 

i wouldn't say it's free but it's been bootleg'd. I heard it was leaked from a person that got no support from John. I guess it was some kind of pay back.

he runs hondata on his car. i'm not sure if its s200 or s300 though.

 

crome is a bit buggy but works, but if you can get the s200 cheap give it a try or resell it and get neptune

 

i would op to do this. OSTRICH, HONDALOG, CROME... call it a day... oh and get a TOP burner off ebay, i did a write up on the process of using that TOPburner here in the forms.

As far as your question is concerned, I've tuned hundreds of Hondas, and the S200 is the biggest pain in the *** out of any tuning system, mainly because the hardware is a joke and Hondata spent too much R&D on security than manufacturing quality hardware.
