Default cleaning up block

want to know what some of you use to really clean up a b series block.

I know the usual degreaser, but i have heard of over cleaner, scotch pads....etc etc.

What i want is a nice gleeming aluminum color.
I dont want it polished, but i want the nice luster!!
i was thinking steam cleaning, and pressure washing, then a scuff pad.

tried pressure washing and it didn't really bring the color back. took the header off and used 8% deluted oxalic acid and a scotch brite pad and the block looks brand new
