I replaced a new rack/pinion on my 94 eg hatch , after installing the rack the steering wheel was off to the left. I took it in to get alignment and they got the toe's zero out but couldn't get the steering wheel center out, so told me that I could take off the steering wheel and center it out myself. So I took it off and center it out myself, and plug everything back up. Now the SRS is on and it stays on solid. I think i did the "start your car with the yellow srs wire unpluged" and trigger the SRS light to come on.

things I've tryed:

1: I try disconnecting the negative and positive terminals off and leaving it unplugged for about 1 minute and the SRS light still stays on.

2: look at the fuse for the SRS light and its still good.

3: try to jump the yellow plug under the dash but nothing happens. I think This only works if you have a flashing SRS light because it happen before, the first owner was a damn ricer and install some megan or mugen bucket seats and left the wire under the seat unplugged, and it had a flashing srs light, So i did the resetting thing where u have to wait a few seconds in between and I fixed it.

4: I wont take off the cluster to unplugg the yellow plug for the SRS light, so please do not tell me to.

What else can I do before I have to take it into the dealer? It's not really annoying yet, but I know damn right that it will be after a while with it. thanks

Click the FAQs sticky and go to section 17-l. SRS information about 96-00 Civics likely also pertains to your 94 hatch.

Start by clearing the SRS code to see whether it returns. If so, then pull the SRS trouble code by jumping the service connector.
