This showed up at my apartment (dorm room) today, I wonder what it could be!?

it took 3 people to fit it on the stand.



Me and some buds inspected the motor over, and the only problem we found was this.



Firstly, we're going to clean this biatch up. It's dirty. I would like to know if anybody knows what those wires go to that were cut? Thanks.

I'd guess those are injector wires going to the resistor box.

hahaha......no. I know how hard it is to find these. A lot of people on here have been looking for a long time. i got really lucky.

 

its all good ... what kinda cond. is it in?

 

on the outside, besides the cut wires, it's in good shaped, just dirty. it's got 89,000 miles on it. the original owner said the piston rings are starting to fail, so that's the only internal problems I know of. he said before he had the motor pulled out, he had it tested at a local shop. We're going to tear it down tonight or tomorrow, just to see if there is any other internal problems.

AWESOME MOTOR!!! VTEC H23. very excellent.

 

a lot of the H23A1's on ebay are either shot rings or spun rod bearings.... seems odd.

 

 

what kind of internals would they use.. i have stock h22 parts here

sorry to burst your bubble Greensleeper but it isn't VTEC H23. It's just DOHC H23. But that's still good enough for me.

 

dont worry about the wiring harness, when you do the swap you will want to use the one that is in your car right now.

Damn I thought the H23a1 was the rare H23 Vtec motor that was in the accord wagon sirt.

It was 375 shipped. The owner just wanted to get rid of it. He put a H22 in his 'lude and he wanted to get the engine out of his garage. We took the head cover off today and the cams look beautiful, not a scratch or discoloration on them. Since I'm an engineering student, I decided to take advantage of our sand blasting machine.




Do I smell an evil mod who took all my posts away?? I only have 1 now.
