Default hatch gutted weight?

I am curious how much you figure an ef hatch like this would weight:

Gutted interior (Just dash)
1 Race seat
No AC
No power steering
No sunroof
b16 engine and tranny
OEM hood, hatch and glass

Thanks.

I'm thinking fully equipped without motor/trans = 1500 in a stock car, especially Si (moonroof). [This is me talking through my ***] = "Because stock weight is supposedly 2200, and an engine weighs about 200 and transmission is what like 100??lbs?"

Probably close to 2000 lbs. the interior doesn't really weigh much and you've put a slightly heavier engine in.

The engine is not 500 lbs

i agree i lifted my d series outta the hatch after it blew without the tranny attached. hurt like hell after but its definitely not 500 lbs. your car stripped with a b series should be just under 2k
itll still rip i promise

Thanks guys!

The race class weight min with driver is 2080.

Driver with race gear 160
Cage probably about 160

So if it's possible to get get an ef hatch (like spec'd in first post) down to like 1750 I will be good.

You guys think 1750 is possible or no chance in hell?

Really don't want to get into cf hood, hatch and lexan if I don't have to.

You'll get better results from replacing windows with lexan.
Carbon Fiber/FRP Hoods and Hatches would shed only a couple of pounds. really not worth it unless you get them really cheap.

stripping your interior isnt even worth it man, its probbally less then 30 pounds, and it makes it colder and less heat stays in. If I was tryn to make my car lighter, I would go with plexiglass windows, lighter rims ect. the only major thing to strip would be the backseat. thats just me speakin out the ***, who knows.

I'd agree with what's said here before, glass is one of the heavier things as well as seats.

OP, why not just do this and find a truck scale.

No it is not worth it, gutting the interior, my 1990 CRX came in at 2200 with me in it, a b16a swap and carbon fiber hood. I weigh about 225 though, so the car itself was under 2000, but it is such a noisy terrible ride. If you are gonna race competitively it is a must, and i agree about the windows they are heavy. Have you ever removed a windshield?

glass does weigh a lot. almost all racers use plexi & i do think they make street legal plexi that does still reduce weight.
