Clunking Noise from suspension 98 Accord
On the front passenger side I have been getting a clunking noise when I go over bumps, mostly ones that really cause that up and down motion of the suspension. Speed bumps, pulling out of the driveway, etc..
In the car it's pretty noticeable, but outside it's not super noticeable but you hear the "kunk" sound, coming from the upper area around the upper control arm and above. Can't really pinpoint it.
Any ideas on worn out bushing or something? I had the struts replaced a year ago, maybe the spring isn't seated right, or something original on the top of the strut is worn. Idk spitting out ideas here...

could be alota stuff. my RR strut does this but i kno what it is, its just the rubber under the spring. and when i hit a bump itll clunk sumtimes. just need to put the car in the air and look at everything and see whats worn and see what could be making the sound.
Next time you're in the car turn the wheel hard left (or right) and accelerate, if it clicks/clunks it's 99% your CV boots. They will sometimes make that noise even when going in a straight line.
Could be control arms/ball joints.
Could be dried out and rotten sway-bar bushings.
If you're not certain where to look, take it to a trustworthy shop and have them inspect your suspension for anything loose.

I have the same issue. I also installed new struts and shocks thinking that would correct it. I suspect that it's the bushing. The question is, which bushings is it. If the bushing kit doesn't cost too much for all of them, might as well change all of them.
