integra ls bogs and dies
Ok monday i ran my car out of gas (yes i know im retarded it actually ran out at the pump). But ive had a miss for like 4 weeks so i decided to try to fix it today. i put plugs , cap and rotor on my car(wires are newer and i've triple checked the firing order). i started the car it idled fine pulled it arround to the front of my house it started idling funny then died. I restarted it the engine fired but as i pushed the gas pedal it backfired and then bogged and dies. It starts every once and a while the engine will rev good for a sec then bog and die. any suggestions for me to get this thing fixed asap would help greatly my grandfather died today i need the car to help with the funeral.
i just changed the coil and wires. still nothing changed sometimes it fires idles up to 2k if i hit the throttle it bogs and dies. i have fuel and spark. nothing else changed.
Your plug wires end up like this?

Also - were the MAP & TPS moved at all (swapping them can cause what you describe)...

ok some tinkering i got it running but now it idles but if i put my foot on the gas it bogs. it has been brought to my attention that to remove the rotor my friend removed the dizzy. will the car run if its 180 out?
You need a timing light.. if you can, rotate the crank until the timing mark is TDC and confirm (pull the spark plug in #1) that the piston is up at TDC also.
Then pull the distributor cap and confirm that the rotor is pointing to 7-8 o'clock (#1 is bottom left on the distributor).
That'll get you in the ballpark for using a timing light.
Good luck
