Default Need Opinions: Can this K20R swap be a daily driver in my 94 Integra?

Wassup HT I currently have a 97 B18C type r motor in my 94 Integra GSR. I just put it in but now i have come across my friends K20R motor and i'm interested in putting it in my integra. I know there's a lot of stuff that i need to do to make this swap happen, but I'm more afraid of my car becoming undriveable in the streets of Los Angeles. I will have to remove my cat and I heard this motor will make my car a lot louder. Do you guys think this would be a good move if I want to make it a daily driver? I do also want to be able to smash on it and take on other quick cars but still want it to be low pro to the cops. Please give me your opinions and if you have this swap in your Integra let me know how you like it and what you did as far as header choice, b-pipe, exhaust, cat or no cat or resonator?

This is what is on the K20R motor now:
-Stock itr Clutch and Flywheel
-Halfshalf
-Driveshaft Shop 2.9 axles
-BDL 70mm Thottlebody
-Type R engine harness
-Acura RDX injectors 410cc, the original type r which is 310cc
-Blueprint valvetrains
-Stock ITR cams and cam gears
-Goldeneagle fuel rail
-Fuel pressure regulator w/ stainless steel braided lines
-Clutch pivot and lines

**Currently also running a JDM 2.5 inch Cat and B-Pipe and a Spoon N1 Muffler

I will be buying:
-Skunk2 or R-Crew Header
-Skunk2 Intake Manifold
-K-Pro ECU management system
-Karcepts cold air intake

Thanks!!

Nice thanks for the feedback. I've heard several people running a 3 inch pipe, do you think running a 2.5 inch pipe and stock Type R muffler would be too much back pressure for a K20R motor? You got any under carriage pics of your setup from header to exhaust?

I too want a k20r swap but its a lil expensive and in c.a it aint gonna fly unless you do it right meanig you need all oem emission equipment and the fuel tank from the rsx ect. it is a stout motor and is a great motor to dd just watch out for cops if it aint bar'd. I just stuck with the B series itr and boost it and it makes great power but theres allot of people that do it, **** whats funny is i took a pizza delivery the other day and the guy had a red jdm itr with a bad *** k24/k20 head motor! sk2 package up the ***! header head package like the whole nine yards! i was like wtf! you dd this hes like ya and it should hit 350hp once its tuned at churches, but even he said its real expensive and even with sponsers it can still get expensive but i really wanted a k20r swap since then.

damn...thats what im worried about most is getting popped by the cops. Is it possible to get a K20R barred and legal? How do you get a car barred with a different motor anyways?

Its very possible! my friends been braging that you can easily bar reff a k in a dc2!,do more research! im gonna say you need the fuel tank from a rsx, the engine harness, ecu, cat and if you use a intake or header it must have emissions carb numbers! but! you might still have to run all stock for them to bar reff the motor but if everything is stock and you get it bared you can try and run a header and intake ect. but if i was gonna swap a K it would deff be the k20r motor! it will dominate all the rest of the stock K's. it will be expensive but all heads will bow if its done right! then maybe ill be motivated to sell the b18c5 and go with a k20r in my dc2 too!

hahah...yea i definitely want a K20R. Thats what im planning to get since my friend is selling his but I still need to sell my B18c swap. What's your opinion of how much i should sell my full complete JDM 97 Spec. Type R B18C complete changeover with new Exedy Stage 1 Clutch and JDM Virgin P73 ECU? It only has 40k miles too cuz i just recently dropped it in and now i want my friends K. I even have papers that show estimated mileage, serial number, etc. If you guys were in the market for one, how much would you pay?
