Shaved & Tucked bay (multicolor paint scheme) need opinions
I am almost done shaving and tucking the engine bay in my hatch and need to pick out some colors/ color. The car itself is championship white with k1's. I wanted to do a multicolor bay with 4 colors (firewall, shock towers, and radiator support). I had a sky blue color in mind along with a purpleish color. I have yet to find two other colors that would go well with them. I also figured I could do one single color (have not decided on color). I would like some input on to what everyone else thinks and some ideas.
Everything was planned to be color match, but I like to be different. I know for a fact I don't want it to be white. I wanted one solid color that's somewhat vibrant or 4 crazy colors.
It all depends on whats in the bay.I mean if you have alot of polished pieces or chrome bits then a darker set of colors would make it pop and if most of the stuff is black then a light color would compliment them.I am in the same boat but I decided to go all one color.

I have an ITR motor, new factory valve cover. Everything else is hidden or deleted in the bay so I am leaving myself open to all colors. One color would be much easier, but it seems so hard to choose.
I always liked silver with dap but thats just me.Hey if you dont mind do you have any pics of how you routed the brake lines?
thats ok man, i just posted my bay not realy suggesting you use my color.
i have seen some multi color bay's and some are ok. just dont do gay *** splatter paint or camo. use solid colors that will stand out and be easy to keep clean. no whites, creams or beige. a nice bright primary colors are what i see the most of.
i also like the checker board pattern on the fire wall. your painter either better like you or owe you big because that ish can take tons of time.

Well if you are painting it then go nuts if you dont like it down the road it will be much easier to change once you finish the first paint job.Where are you located if you dont mind me asking pm me if you dont like posting a location in the thread and post those pics I am interested in seeing your work.
This one has kinda grown on me, I would not do it to my car, but i think it looks good (reminds me of that vw GTI from like 98-00)

I think having a pattern is more appeasing to the eye than just an off color.
(when I see a different color bay i just think cheap paint job that they didnt want to pull the motor to paint the bay/door jambs/etc. )

after doing some interweb searching I think these bays look pretty sick (off colors) which is I think where you are headed.
