Default Multiple help issues.

ok, if any of you guys can answer a couple questions for me that would be great.

I have a 96 coupe (EX) with a d16y7 (95 block) and a d16 vtech head. It idles (rough) and runs worse over 3500 rpm. I am wondering if the issue could be the 95 block not having the crank position sensor and the ecu looking for one. Any ideas?

question two....I have an h22 in a 95 hatch. Will the axles fit from the eg into the ek if I decide to swap the 22 into the ek?

I am sure I am missing some info but any help would be awesome.

Issue #1. Any CELS? Check timing?
Issue #2. Move the COMPLETE swap, including axles, to the EK. If you did the H swap you would know those are not any axles from any D-series.

I did not do the swap and am aware the axles are not from a d series. I bought the hatch that way and am wondering if the axles are universal between the eg and ek.

No cel right now and checked out the timing a little. Just wondering about the crank sensor as of right now. Any info on that? block is obd1 and car/ecu/head are obd2.

IF you know the axles are not from a D-series then why are you asking if axles from a D-series will fit? No. All Honda axles are NOT universal. And if I remember correctly when you move the swap to the EK you will have to do some cutting/fabbing. It's not a drop in swap.

What do you mean you checked the timing out a little? I wasn't aware they made a Y7 in 95.

my bad. I don't think I explained this well enough. I have two cars. a 95 hatch w/ a h22 and a 96 ex coupe with the d16. I want to take the 22 out of the eg and put it in the ek. My question is will those axles work in the ek?

Yes it will. I think I said that. You will still have to do some cutting to get it in. Like I said it is NOT a drop in swap.

If you're doing the swap then why worry about the other car and it's idle problems?
Read this on what's entailed in the swap.

You might have some issues with wiring as well. Unless the 95 is falling apart I'd leave the H where it is.
