Power Steering Workaround
I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death, but I wasn't able to find the answers I wanted. After about a week of search I either landed on dead threads or threads that had nothing to do with my question.
I picked up a 90 Civic Sedan EX with the D16a6 and power steering. I'm planning on swapping my D16z6 into it, but have came onto the issue with power steering.
Things I have thought of doing:
- I thought of swapping pulley's, but the z6 has a spline pulley shaft while the a6 just simply uses a bolt. So that won't work.
- Because of harmonic dampening issues, I won't be swapping in the a6 crank pulley. I will be keeping the z6.
Will the D16z6 power steering pump work? Or is there any way I can keep power steering or am I just going to have to remove the power steering and loop the system? Would I help from anyone who has done this. Thanks

I believe you may need to use the EF bracket and EF pump bolted to the z6. you may do some measuring to confirm that first, but that is the route i would try initially.
