Default Ground coming from brake reservoir?

I have a ground coming from the brake fluid container that leads to nothing... Idk if the previous owner had this for something or if it's actually suppose to be there... any ideas?

Maybe get a manual. If your car is as jacked up as I think it is I don't know how you plan on doing repairs without one.

There should be two wires coming from the cap on the master cylinder. These are from the float attached to the inside of the cap that lights up the "brake" light on your dash when the fluid level gets too low (as the pads wear down).
