S2000 - Scheduled Main't
Recently acquired an S2000 from my grandfather. It's an '05 with 60k miles... breezing through the catalog there's quite a few things that could be done at this Year/Mileage interval. This ones a second car for me, only driven in nice weather so I want to keep it for as long as possible! I had the following things planned for my next oil change:
1. Break Fluid
2. Rear Differential Fluid
3. Transmission Fluid
4. Air Cleaner Element
This car was garage kept by my grandfather, and he was a meticulous guy so I'm fairly confident that it was taken care of cosmetically. But I'm not sure how much he knew about cars, or what the scheduled main't would have been. I'm treating this as if I didn't know the original owner. I want to baby the hell out of this car so it's lasts.
So if I wanted to be real ****, what else could I have done or checked? The car doesn't have any problems that I can detect other than:
1. The gear box is a little clunky in cold weather until it warms up
2. There's a slight amount of vibrating occasionally near the dash (totally random)
3. The trunk rattles when you hit bumps, still trying to figure out where it's coming from.
Any help would be appreciated. I was going to do the Rear Differential and Air Filter myself since they seem relatively simple, but I might just have the mechanic do it while he's under there. Also was going to stick with the Honda brand fluids for all but the Oil change. Thoughts?

I take it that since no one responded, I've got everything covered. So I booked an appointment to get the above stuff done, they said it would be about $285 after tax... which seems reasonable.
If there's anything else that's worth having them look at or replace, let me know please.

are you having honda do the work? id stick with honda oem for the trans fluid and the oil filter. for the diff id reccomend mobil 1 75w-90 and mobil 1 synthetic 10w-30 for the oil, thats my exact setup and im happy with everything
. Never used a Honda oil filter before but I'll try it.
search search search...all the answers to all your questions have been answered before...and if you do the oil changes yourself, you should be competant enough to do all the other things on your own as well
It's a comfort issue, I've done oil changes many times... I've never done the other stuff. I did search and didn't find much pertaining my specific questions, so I made a new post instead.
