Icon2 So many choices!!!

so after doing some research, imma take some advise and start off with upgrading my intake mani. curious as to what every one thinks about one that goes by blox?(its for a b18a1) its going on an ef9. wanted I.T.B's but for now is a bit outa price range. after the intake project,(or with it) is upgrading my ignition to an external MSD BLASTER coil, msd dis cap/rotor, NGK wires. already have some NGK iridium plugs in er'. hopefully will be killing srt4's by summer!(at a fraction of the price as one)

imo

if you plan on beating some mopar you need more than just an intake manifold on a b18. Try for a b16 or a gsr head, free flowing exhaust and intake.

dude just boost! Here is whats going to happen... your gonna spend major doe on some simple bolt ons and after a week or so, you will be back to square one wanting more power. I turbo'd two of my prior rides and some of my friends for under $1500 everytime TUNED! 220whp on a bonestock ls, with injectors, fuel pump, and decent turbo kit.

If you want to be racing cars that are a class above these and be sucking your own air you'll need a motor build done well with a lot of research.

If you are going to build an N/A motor you won't be able to just convert it over to turbo so do plan that out before you slap things together.

If your going to add a new intake manifold, some things to consider (if your determined) is to buy a bigger mm throttle body. If you did that, you could always get the intake manifold bored to match. most over sized throttle bodies/intake manifolds are around 65-70mm i believe.

Then add a cold air intake. this is just for starters.

Icon2 need some input!

most everyone say that i should put a b16 head on my b18a1 block... thoughts? plans for the near future are to get some ITB's, and wanted to settle down on what i should do before i go and buy some ITBs for a b18 head, and then figure out later on that i should have done a different head. and im not try'n to go into debt on it either lol. if its a pricey swap chances are its not gonna happen. and if i do go with the b16 head what all is involved in the project? just the head, or 900 different parts?

I got b16 with CAI, SKUNK2 IM, CRV injector, MSD Blaster, and wire, DC2 Header, HKS exhaust, stock p28. that enough to beat the SRT4 anytime on 1/4 mile...but not on the freeway for long run, unless you have LS tranny.
But if you doing LSV, better going with B16 head core rather than GSR core, coz the b16 have bigger combustion chamber than GSR head, but get better cams like B16B, or better
