busted pressure plate?
so as i was driving to work this morning (bumper to bumper traffic) i tried to put it in gear after a complete stop and the car would not move. kinda felt like i had a busted axle, so i figured it was just the shift linkage or shifter that got loose or something. then after getting the car towed to my work place, i took a look and everything was intact. at first the shifter would only move up and down, but then eventually was able to get it in every gear smoothly with the car on or off. just doesnt move or anything.
so after doing some research all day and talking to a couple buddies. i figured it could be a bad pressure plate or clutch. guys have any ideas? sorry for the long story. thanks in advance!

Dang... sounds like the clutch got stuck in the open position somehow.
When I snapped the clutch fork on my DSM years ago, the clutch was stuck in the engaged position, so I couldn't put it in gear while the engine was running.
Good luck with the repair. Time to get a new, beefier clutch. And I would reinforce the fork as well, while everything's out.
