Default 2005 honda crv, honda won't honor warranty

hi,
I have a 2005 honda crv that won't shift into gears anymore... this happened at 8pm last week so i bought atf III dexron fluid and added half a cup to see if it woudl fix the issue and it didn't, so i got the car towed to the dealership the next day and i found out that the warranty was still valid on the car (from my own research, dealership never told me). long story short i've been talking to the customer relations people who are telling me that it's not covered because i put in dexron 3, so i told them in the owner's manual it says it can be used as temporary fix and i only used it the night before and barely half a cup, so then she comes back and says you filled the fluid in the breather hole instead and that voids the warranty. This is not true and even if it was, does it even matter, what can i do at this point? they are not owning up to their warranty policy and they are making all these excuses... I can't believe a multinational company would do something like that... can anyone help me?

why did you ever tell them that you added fluid?

did you call the customer relations 800 number, or did you just talk to someone at a dealership?
