89' CRX HF mint, but I believe I need some welding done
It's been a while and I never post, just browse around. The car drove fine 45 miles home. I hit a speed bump in my parking lot and heard a loud "pop" from the back right wheel area. I backed it in and the back right wheel was bent out about to fall off the car.
Basically where the LCA mounts into the body of the car the tri-angle body piece has broken away from the body. IDK if it's because its dumped on shitty ebay "sleeves" on the stock shocks (you can tell by the hight) or not but here are the pics. Let me know how screwed i am. I'm guessing I'm going to have to have someone weld this back up. Any ideas?

sooooo think that will be costly?..................car looks nice though.....hahaha At least I can have some humor about it.
Post in the fabrication section, you might be able to get a fellow HT member to weld that for you.
Cheap fix if you have a welder and know how to use it.

That's what I thought. I have a cousin that does the Baja and he said stripping the undercoating will be the worst. The welding won't be too bad. My worry is its right by the gas tank so that has to get dropped.
Of cource I come across a clean HF with working AC that needs something like this FML. I have more pics if anyone cares. Also wondering what knock off wheels those are....

your cousin is right it should not be to bad to weld but getting the undercoating and seam sealer of takes time but it looks like it would be worth it on that car.
Mig weld it back, and add some plate steel to reinforce. Do the same on the other side. Do yourself a favour and extend your top hats.
