D.I.Y Hood Dampeners
So the other night we were at Hot Import Nights in Chicago and I picked up a pair of PASSWORD JDM Hood Dampers for my DC5. I had always wanted to get a set for the GSR but with my carbon fiber hood I opted not to. So this time I said hells yeah for IVY (My cars name)
So here we go!

Ok first take out all the parts, make sure you have everything. For this project I also needed a grease gun, 10mm socket, and 12mm wrench.

Next I connected the ball joint into the top of the strut making sure to place grease inside the ball joint

and got this

Then I unbolted the bottom fender screw next to the headlamp assembly.

Now I insert and tighten down the hood damper to the fender

Next step is to unbolt the hood brackets. Do one side at a time as to not remove the hood! And make sure to hold the hood and support it

Now grease the ball and connect the damper

and now this!

and its seriously just that easy!! But omg I love it! Can't wait to show it off
