HELLO EVERYBODY,,,I am working on the right drive axle,,,because it was leaking from the seal and I lost alot of fluid,,,,I already drained the remains and have two question's ,,,what fluid would be the best,,,how about Royal Purple Max Gear 75W 90 ,,,and also how much oil do I put in?? do I go all the way till it pours out of the fill hole???

 

pennzoil synchromesh 2.2-2.4 qts.

 

10W30. Do not under any circumstances run gear oil. And yes, pour it in until it runs out the fill hole

 

would the amsoil synthetic synchromesh 5w-30 also work or would it be loo lean,,,,I can't find the grade for the pennzoil synchromesh but it looks like 10w-30

 

Not synchromesh, just plain old cheap 10W30 motor oil.

 

honda mtf is now just as good if not better than synchromesh 2.25 qts is all you need

 

It's too thin for older D-series trannys though, '96+ S40 trannys you should run MTF in (they actually shift like crap with 10W30) but the older S20 trannys should have 10W30 in them.
