Swapped B18C1 in '90 Integra; 3rd Gear going to 95 mph?
My speedometer has been pretty much shaking since I got the car 8 months ago and I just replaced the cable recently which fixed the shaking problem. However, is it normal for my gears to be so far ahead? First goes past 40 mph; second goes to 65 mph; 3rd goes to 95 mph, 4th goes past 125 mph.
Should I be worried about this or is that just how long the ratios are?

I'm guessing the trans out of the 2000 GSR it was swapped from. Honestly, I'm not 100% sure and at the time of purchase I wasn't as knowledgeable so I over looked that potential question. Let's create a scenario for both. Maybe it's still the original tranny from the DA and it's 20 years old >.>
Got a smart phone? If ya do download a GPS speedometer app or if ya got a GPS usually they will tell you how fast you are going. If you have non of the above have a buddy drive beside you on the highway and compare speeds or something. If you are doing 95 in third then its just the gearing of your tranny

Nah there is something wrong with the speedo there is no way that motoer should do 140 in 4th gear unless you tached out. i would check the cluster and the cable that runs to the tranny
Hmmm seems right actually. If its a b18c1 trans, then 95 in 3rd gear is about right. Ive gone to 120 in 4th at 7700rpm, so yea. I really doesnt seem off. Get your camera buddy to ride beside you at 60mph on his cluster and see what yours says. Simplest thing to do.

Those speeds for redline are close enough to correct for a GSR. (68 in 2nd, not 65.)
The speedometer reading is taken from the diff, and is only accurate if the tire size is correct (195/55-15, which is 23.3" in diameter).
