Mating a GSR blower to an LS
I want to supercharge my '96 LS but have heard that the blower for the LS is so small that it barely puts out substantial power. I have also heard that it is possible to make a GSR blower fit to the LS engine. Is this true? If so, what would be required to do this job? What would need to be altered in the engine? And how much money would I be looking at to get this done right?
check out eaton for specs, the dimensions they list are identical for outer casing on the m45 and the m62, but per eaton, magnusson, jackson, and moss, there are not interchangeable. the eaton unit makes great bottom end gains, but it dies quick on the top end as it starts to heat up, you'll need some good cams, and a little squeeze will go a long way too.
Someone on Hostboard has done this, and for the trouble involved, there are no gains. The B18B1 and the JRSC, properly tuned, at 9psi, is quick enough to be fun. The m45 is very similar to the m62 anyway...
I'm hoping to run a 13.9-14.1 next time I go to the track w/ mine. Have had good luck with it.

The Type-R JRSC kit is easier to adapt to the b18b than the gsr kit. That is the kit that the guy on host board used. He goes by Avenger something or other. you can find him here- http://www.hostboard.com/cgi-bin/ult...bb=forum&f=110
