Quick google search to make sure but here it is; same pinouts on both ecu but hf has a egr valve, si has fast idle control, hf has lower rev limiter

HF ecu will do more damage then good. It will run lean and trip check engine light for EGR valve. Best just to stick with your PM6. If you want better mileage, get an HF tranny. LONG gears for the highway.

If i were you i would rather swap a HF tranny up the tire pressure and do a sparkplug and sparkplug wire change this will help you save gas. good luck

Correct.

Swapping in the ECU from an HF will "work" as far as it'll fit on and function but it's not setup to run the motor you have on it. It won't be happy.

Using the HF trans will net you better milage, at the cost of any kind of acceleration.

Awful reply.

He asked a VERY valid question.

Do not shoot someone down for wishing to educate themselves.

He wanted to know why something wouldn't work on a technical level, you bash him for that? Find the log out button. Absurd. You come to a tech site and mock people for wanting to understand tech?

It does work, as it's been explained, it's just not a good idea.

So really you are incorrect and spreading bad information by over simplifying it. Do you see my issue with your post now?

Also "Why not?" is a very legit question. He now has an understanding of the map on the HF's ECU vs his stock PM6.

Nice build. You'd think with the know-how to build that you'd have enough sense to understand the HF ecu on your D16A6 is a bad idea. Good luck bro. -Later, BR
