Looking for a gsr engine for my 93 accord so I can turbo it.....but if there are other ways to turbo my 2.2 4 cylinder that came in the car give me some ideas please!

 

Search around You still have alot to learn. Gsr won't fit the accord without custom mounts and axles. It's going to be alot of work with barely any power gains. Just h22 the car it's the easiest way out. Either that or g23 your current motor. Or just keep the f22. They are low compression and is great for a turbo project.

Why downgrade from a 2.2 to a 1.8?

start at www.turbobygarret.com and read their turbo tech articles.

Stock f22s will take some boost, but if pushed too hard they will usually fail at either the ringlands or by lifting the head.

 

Do a leakdown test to see what the condition of your motor is then go from there; otherwise, it's pointless to boost a poor condition engine.
