hey my gf baught an em1 civic si about two months ago and its been fine up until about a week or less ago i started th hear a ticking noise coming frome the moter but its only while were driving and i cant figurit out it sounds like the valves but i cant b sure but were suppose to take a trip to cali soon from nevada soon and i dont want it to blow on the way there so any advice would be helpfull

 

Is the engine oil low?

 

no i checked it but were changing the the oil on wed cuz thats what i was thinkin

 

Could be a slightly warped/bent valve. Turn up the radio.

 

its not gonna hurt nething i lust dont wanna break down on my to cali

 

umm when u open up ur oil cap is there alot of pressure coming or a lil it could be that maybe ur not getting oil to the top

 

didnt think about that but its got an oil pressure gaudge and it hasnt changed at all

 

does it do it when you rev up, or just when moving?

 

Are you using cheap gas?

 

no were using chevron or quickstop 91 wich is delivered by the same truck and only when it is under load like in gear and driving im just baffeled i dont know what it could be

 

so i got an oil change today and its runnin like a friggn champ now no ticking nothing hella excited woooo thanks everyone for all the adivice
