Can you use a y8 throttle cable on a stock y7?

Imma gonna say...no. This is from comparing my hatch to my coupe but I'm only assuming mind you. . Is there some reason you need to use a mismatched throttle cable? You should probably check part numbers.

 

I have a 96 HX (has same cable/IM as y8) I got it as a shell and put a stock y7 in it. thats the mismatch issue.

I was going to do a y8 IM swap but I am missing the y8 cbale bracket that holds it to the IM. I have a manual y8 IM and TB so I was going to do the 3 to 2 wire conversion but I don't see how its possible because the plugs are different from the y7 iAC. and don't have the y8 IM support bracket. So basically I need a y7 cable???? or a few parts to do the y8 IM swap (cable bracket, support brace, y8 auto TB)
