fuel injectors
Im trying to finish my dpfi- mpfi swap parts collection and cant find a car with injectors locally. What other honda (year, model) injectors will work? Theres a few accords with injectors one had a 2.0? if they are obd0 and higher ccs will it have any negative effect?
well as my own update to this i went back to the junkyard today and snatched 3 sets of injectors 1 set from a 89 accord 1 from a 95 accord and 1 from a 89 integra according to autozones website the take the same replacement part number so im assuming i can use any of them. If anyone knows differently feel free to chime in! now just need correct distributor!!
You can't just use any injectors, unfortunatly. The the bright side, the 89 teg will work for sure.
The 95 accord will not work for sure, as they are high impedance.
I believe the 89 accord injectors will *probably* work, off the top of my head, but since you have the 89 teg ones, you should just use those.
You definitely should NOT use injectors with higher flow, as it will cause you to get terrible gas mileage and will make less power. Honda injectors, in general, are almost all 240cc, but things like the s2k and a few others use slightly larger ones.
The other issue is the fuel injector impedance. You need low impedance injectors, and civics after 91 and OBD1+ are high impedance.
