timing belt on 93 civic
I'm having trouble getting the timing belt on a 93 civic. I was wondering if their is any tips or tricks. My dad and I both tried for about an hour with the engine out of the car and neither of us have never had a problem with a timing belt. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Maybe try following this thread. It might help.

Good thread but my main problem is getting the belt on meaning that its way to tight but yet is.the same size as the one we took off. I saw that in the thread they said to put.the belt on the cam pully last but I've already.tried.that. still no luck
how about pushing down on the tensioner and as you do so tighten it back up in the lowered position and install the beltl. Things would be easier if you leave the crank pulley off until you install the timing belt or do you mean the crank gear.

leave the bolt in loosen the tensioner(you can use a screwdriver on the spring end of tensioner and push down)once down tighten the tensioner in the lowered position.
There is no need to remove the tensioer bolt for the tensioner to move
