So my neighbor recently got a 1 owner 1998 100% original gsr besides k&n filter and rota wheels, the car doesnt seem to crack vtec @ 4300 rpm but it feels like it around 5500rpm can the iab secondaries feel and sound like vtec ? I know they open at 5750rpm or is it just that you cant really here or feel vtec on a 100% stock b18c1 ? The k&n drop in for the dc integras are round and 3.5 inlet so we took off his airbox and run it straight off the intake tube, when the secondaries open around 5500 it sounds like vtec. Yes stock obd2 p72 ecu, no check engine lights, vss is working, tested vtec solenoid, knock sensor is fine, oil level is perfect, im stumped. Ive never driven another stock gsr so I have no idea how they are supposed to feel stock, I know that my 96 accord I had I could feel and here the vtec more than this thing. Suggestions ? Oh I tried my vtec oil pressure switch on his car too, maybe when the head was done they dropped the tiny dowel in the center cam cap and it doesnt build enough pressure for vtec to engauge His filter is just like this

Hey on those 4 wire o2 extension harness's are they plug and play ? I'm doing an h22 swap in my 94 lx auto accord with stock harness and the o2 female plug is ner the tranny and needs to be at the back of the downpipe by the flex pipe

 

yea if its stock you can't hear the vtec at 4.4k but when the secondaries open up you can hear it. it should just be a smooth pull to 8k.
