I know the old B20 engines in the 3rd gen Preludes have turned out to be a leaky SOBs, but how much is too much?
My mechaninc rebuilt the top end, and said the rings and everything down below looked fine. Yet, I'm burning a quart every 3 days. It gets kinda smokey when I get on the gas...
Maybe the PCV system? Running rich? I've spent so much $ on this POS already, if it's serious, I'm likely just going to take a sledge hammer to it!
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Do you have any oil on your plugs? If there is then it may be your rings or a valve stem seal no sealing right. I know you said he rebuilt your top end, but he is human. Check for oil on the oilpan, look for any leaks. That's all I can say!

is the smoke? I know in the 1989 Acura Legend, that engine will leak
in the PCV area and also the distributor seal. You may want to check
there, too.
I've not had any major leaks on *either* B20A5 engine. The first one didn't
leak until about 169K miles.
