Fake type-r return on ebay???
this topic was really old... and this guy that everyone thinks is selling a b16a motor on a itr chassis and interior has return?? with proof that this r is real????

I really don't know there was a big discussion on this either on this forum or the integra forum about this and most people say that that's not the real motor/shift ****. Thinks that the person just replace everything out before the bank repo him.

5 lugs, amber gauges, carbon fiber around the gauges, b18c5, shift ****, seats.........If it isn't a real type R someone dropped a hell of alot of money into a fake one

I don't know just thought that itr have a red valve cover??
This vehicle has a different set of front end parts that are on the vehicle...I am being told by many people that the front end was manufactured by a company called "JDM" and it is considered a japanese front end conversion
The unique high performance tires on this vehicle are not designed for winter driving. Suitable tires must be installed for driving on ice and snow. The tires on this vehicle will wear more rapidly then normal passenger car tires. Tire life may be less then 15,000 miles depending on how you drive.

Although I've been a member of HT for over a year and a half, I stop by from time to time skipping a week or three because I really do not have the time to keep an avid tabs on all the wonderful topics being discussed.
Thank you however for bringing THAT to my attention. I will in future try to make HT a great part of my daily activity called life.

did a good job of covering the holes for the wings, but leaving the emblem holes visible....

Can anyone see the LSD stamp on the tranny. The VIN number may be correct but aren't the vins usually rivetted to the tranny and block? The VIN looks to be in great shape but the bolts holding it are not? Kind of strange. What happened to the type r keys?? Still looks like a ITR. Someone should just drive it and they will be able to tell.
I just happen to see an RS yesterday that was made to llok like an ITR. Full JDM front end, motor, wheels, suspension... Big giveaway was the missing strut bars in the trunk, rs seats, lower arm bar had no mounting points for lower bar. Sound deadening had even been stripped.

OMG, here goes this debate again.
It's a real Type R. It's been beat to hell. Bank repo, all *cool* parts were stripped.
I'd do the same thing to my car if the bank was going to repossess it

It is real, the owner probably just took out some of the easily removable ITR-specfic stuff before it got repo'd, like the shift ****, valve cover, shock tower brace, etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but check out the side skirts. Those are looking a little GSR to me. Weren't the Type R ones different?

oh yes...and you can tell the sound deadening has been stripped out by looking at it ...

2000 AND 2001 ITR'S did not come w/ the R key... there key looks the same as every other acura.
Also USDM R's don't come with a rear strut brace...
