Default 92 Civic DX Grinding noise coming from driver side wheel well.

92' Civic DX hatch
No power steering.

Couple days ago this just started happening.

I can hear this grinding/vibrating/circular noise coming from the front driver side wheel well. When I turn to the right it becomes louder but when I turn to the left it's quiet.

Also, when I accelerate and then step on the clutch, the grinding/vibrating/circular noise goes away.

At times, it almost feels like the car is slowing down because of the grinding/vibrating/circular noise..

I highly doubt that it has something to do with my brakes.

Any suggestions? Wheel bearings? Axles? Rack and Pinion?

I don't wanna be driving down the street and then next thing you know I crash because of that noise. Lol

Thanks! Feedback greatly appreciated!

Sounds like a bad wheel bearing.

How long do I have until something bad really happens? I've been hearing it for the past 3-4 days.. I get paid Friday so HOPEFULLY it doesn't take a sh*t on me before then.

I THINK my rotors are fine. I checked my rotor before I went to work this morning and didn't see anything that would cause the noise.

I was thinking wheel bearing too. I'll buy a new wheel bearing this Friday or Saturday.

If it works then it works, if it doesn't then the wheel bearing isn't the issue(obviously). Lol

Check the back plate behind the rotor. I accidentally pushed mine too close to the rotor when doing a brake job and it would grind when turning but silent when straight.

I checked that already and it wasn't touching. Would no power steering affect my wheel bearings?

^This sounds like a bad main bearing in the transmission, though this is inconsistent with the sound coming from the driver's front wheel.

no, but having a bad alignment or bad tires will prematurely make wheel bearings go bad

My tires are in good shape but I'm not too sure about my alignment.
