mounts, axles, etc... You'll need all the usual swap parts, and as far as AT is concerned, I'm not 100% but I can't think of anything you'll need to buy, just a pita wiring it up.

Exactly, doing a MT swap would be cake with the motor out of there. Do the MT swap, you'll be happier.

Auto won't bolt right in - mounts are different, the tranny is physically too large to fit, etc. etc.
Oh and read the rules - don't post vague title'd topics.

I never thought about it not fitting physically. Anyways, auto's rob you of hp anyways, so if you want to be fast, you need MT.

Or maybe he just wants a DD? Dunno, but i'd go MT too

IMO it will NOT work, at least not easily.
1. The auto B series tranny will not fit without you cutting/trimming the framerail on the passenger side of the engine bay.
2. There are no mount kits for such a swap, so you must fab up a rear and topside tranny bracket and mount.
3. Getting the engine and tranny to work might prove difficult because of the differences in the ECUs. I know on a 98 Civic we did this wap on there was no possible way to run the engine and trans with the correct ECU because one tranny used it's own ECU, while the other tranny controls were in the engine ECU itself.
In a nutshell:
NO.

The swaps have been done before. B18B auto in EG swap.
Like Tom, pointed out, you will need to modify the tranny side mount and cut/bang back to fit the tranny in. Also there is the problem with wiring the TCM. It can be done, just time consuming.

Re: (Cuong-nutz)
here is one we did 3 years ago, you will have to cut the spot welds on the pass side mount and re weld it in the correct location.

Re: (boostedcivicsir)
This is an OBD1 auto LS tranny right? It needs to be, unless you really want a bunch more work.
If so, you'll definitely have to use a 94-95 Auto LS ECU with a 94-95 LS TCM. You'll have to do a bunch of wiring to make it all work. Or, we can make a harness for you that'll simplify most it.

Re: Automatic B Series in a EG Chassis?
i know this post is dead!! dont hate!!! but im into this swap for my first time. 95 civic dx auto......97 ls b18b and 97 ls tranny.... i have to harnesses one obd1 ls and 1 obd2 ls, 2 obd1 ls tcm and one obd1 civic tcm. i have 0bd1 ls, and civic ecu and 1 obd2 ls ecu cuae i has the internal tcm....its a standard swap for the engine side, mounts, and axles, but the shift linkage, im useing an ls auto shift cables, and ive had to cut and move back the passanger side bracket and notch the p side frame rail to tuck the ls tranny. the rear t bracket has to be custom made. and the side mount as well. in the ek, its almost drop in but in the eg, not so much. this is what ive incounter so far. im looking to have pics up soon on a guide. but im in a mess of wireing right now. its easy, just a lot of chaseing
