alright i just put my motor back in and it started right up. The next day it started back up then i turned it off to bolt the exhaust up and it wouldnt start after that.

Now when i turn the key to crank it my oil light and check engine light go dim and nothing happens the main relay is good. i checked the voltage at the starter and when the key is on its about 12.8 and when i crank it, it jumps down to about 6 i think it was. So im not sure what this means. someone help me out please. OH also my car is throwing code 20 (ELD) and 6 (ECT) but i think it is throwing 20 because the alternator isnt hooked up (its seized up).

the battery is good also i swapped mine into my buddys car and it started right up

 

CHECK THE GROUND ON THE THERMOSTANT HOUSING

 

ive checked all of my grounds they are all tight and in the right place

 

have you tried tapping the starter with something??? sounds like maybe its locked up...

 

yup ive tried that too i bought a starter tonight ill see if that fixes the problem tomorrow but thanks for the ideas
