Left ti right or right to left

one is on the distributor side, 4 is on the timing side

So I finished and as I was putting on ascrew I guess it stripped....

Now I cant tighten it or loosen it....any suggestions?

nice correction spawne, and i believe your dist. caps order should be:

3 4
1 2


dc2, is it that nut that is closest to the distributor? i had the same problem with my valve cover nuts, just go to auto zone and match the threads and get some new nuts for them. unless you completely stripped the stud its self then you will have to replace them, which would be a factory part unless you get the entire arp head stud assembly, i looked into it because mine are getting a little close to toasted.

Yea I believe the stud is stripped bc I cant take the nut of....it just spins forever...

get the nut off and check, mine did the same thing and it was partially stripped. if it still has some threads try to fix the threads enough to get it to hold as a temp fix or if you have the funds get just all new studs so you dont have to worry about it.
