Determining which alarm i have DEI product
I bought a 94 integra a while back and till today i haven't really messed with the electronics. I have a clifford keyfob thats psuedo carbon fiber, everything on it is faded so you can't read it. Is there an easy way to tell which alarm i have other than going underneath the dash? it seems the installer put the brain behind the blower core.
Also how easy is it to switch out to a newer unit assuming the old wiring was done correctly.

You're going to have to look at the sticker on the alarm brain. Both me and a buddy have Cliffords and our transmitters are the same fake carbon like you describe. Both alarms are different models.
If it is an older Clifford, leave it. They are one of the better alarm systems out there. They have a lot of adjustability and you can add the newer G5 model sensors. They are backwards compatible with the G4 models.. which is what you probably have. The valet "switch" is a 2 button setup that takes a code (user selectable) to change the preferences. You can also get the Cliffnet Wizard computer program and set everything up through your computer. I have the Pro version which only installers are supposed to have.
If you don't have the code, a dealer can plug in and set it to whatever you want.
http://www.clifford.com/Support/Guides.aspx if you need the instruction maual.
Is it not working or something?

Yeah probably gonna leave it in. Ended up digging it out while fixing some wiring. Its a Clifford Matrix 1. Needed to know what alarm it is to get a new key fob. cause the owner only gave me 1. I like to have backup car keys just in case.
Also a good idea to erase all transmitter codes and reprogram in the ones you have, not safe if there may be other remotes out there programed to your alarm.
In fact, I would do that right away. 94

yeah i had done that already. call me picky but i want a different alarm that has a seperate lock and unlock button on the key fob. mine has a combined one.
