egt or water? my egt is like 700ºF after idling for a LONG time and is around 900ºF-1000ºF cruising, and peaks around 1400-1500 depending...

No A/C here either and it gets hot as ***** down here 
But even in the hottest part of the day, my water temp lingers right around 200 F. Usually it's about 185-190 F while i'm driving.

in traffic.. my EGTs are about 200-300°C, water temp sits around 85-95°C depending on how hot it is outside
