Icon6 Del Sol D16 Timing Belt ?

Hey all, just have a quick question to something that i cant seem to find an answer to. Got a 94 del Sol with a d16z6 and its time to do a timing belt and water pump change (200k+). i ordered a new belt and pump from the honda dealer and there seems to be a small discrepancy. The problem is that i called up the dealer and asked them to look up the part # for my vehicle, turns out they dont match the ones i have.
Part numbers i have are:

Belt - 14400-P2F-A01
W. Pump - 19200-P2A-A01

After a little further research I've come to find out that these are the part #'s for a 96+ del sol si. I know that all si trim del sol's come with the d16z6 but will the parts that i have work with my engine? (it's a 94) Its my only car so I dont want to get knee deep into it just to find out i have the wrong parts, and the dealer just tells me that it's a diff part # so their not sure. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks!!!

96-97 Del Sol S has a D16Y7 and Si has a D16y8 which those two part numbers are for. You 94 Si should be a D16Z6 and uses:
14400-P28-004 Timing Belt
19200-P08-004 Water Pump

The Y8 timing belt (Si) and the z6 timing belt are the same, different part number but same belt. I have used them before for a z6.

The P2A waterpump will work on your block and the belt but you would have to run your engine without any timing belt covers, which would be a bad idea IMO. The P2A water pump has the gear that sticks out quite a bit more than the one you are trying to replace, so much so that the timing covers on obd-2 D series have round sectiions that stick out to make room for this wider gear (also for the crank gear which is also wider--because of the crank position gear). Take the P2A water pump and get a refund--or sell it and get the proper water pump.
