WTF.. What happened to my clutch!!1 aaah help
Vitals: 1991 Honda ED Hatch
D15ab1 Standard/Stock 4spd Tranny. Cable clutch. upo until this day everything in the tranny was smooth and I just got off the highway with bno issues and was at my second stop light.
Few days ago I was leaving a green light getting right into 2nd gear when some idiot bumped into the back of me and took off. When i got to the bottom of the hil where i live i pulled into the driveway and went for first as i turned in and couldnt get it. seems as if i couldnt get any gears. its like shifting into a wall. The clutch wont disengage at all and i havent had a chance to look at anything but i know the clucth cable is intact..
car still starts and goes into gears while the car is off but if i start it in neutral and try too shift out into gears nothing happens i cant get into any gears with the clutch pedal to the floor.
ANY SUGGEESTIONS ON WHAT TO CHECK WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Thought I was clear I apologize. I cant get into any gears. I press the Clutch pedal to the floor and it feels like its not disengaging at all. I cant get into any gears with the car running. When I go for reverse with the car running and Clutch depressed I get a grind which I am guessing is because the clutch is not disengaging. I don't think any gears are harmed because I drove about 2 miles before I got home without a problem I just didnt have to stop any so no gear changes out of third until I got home and shifted into neutral then tried for first when I was rolling into my driveway but couldn't get into it. As far as I can remember I didn't hear any noises or smell clutch burning either.
Im going to try and adjust the clutch cable soon but keep the suggestions coming. Anyone have links to a clear description on how to adjust the cable? I just want to make sure I know what I'm doing and I don't over adjust and make things worse. I know where the components are and know the cables in tact but it is possible that it could have stretched and I got lucky and got it home alright. Thanks.
