civic wont start... help!
okay so about a month ago my 91 civic Si started to stutter on start-up. after about 5 seconds and pressing on the gas pedal it would level out and run fine. i let it sit for about 2 weeks and went to start it yesterday but it wouldn't fire. it just cranks and cranks.
i got some starter fluid that I sprayed into the intake and it would fire but die as soon as the fluid was burned off. so I assumed it was getting spark but not fuel. I replaced the main relay, and fuel pump today hoping that would solve the problem. but it's still doing the same thing. just cranking away and not firing. I also noticed before and after I swapped out the fuel pump that it wasn't making the usual hum noise when the key is turned to ON. all the connections looked good. was gonna change the fuel filter tomorrow.
any body have any ideas? maybe something simple I may be missing. im good with the wrench but not so great at diagnosing. any help is much appreciated. i need to get to work Tuesday
