how do i get better fuel economy?
Yes because the catalytic converter is such a power hog. This isn't 1975, we do not have pellets in out cats.
ldrake66 Give your car a tuneup, make sure the cooling system is working fine. Have an alignment done, check for worn suspension components, verify your tire pressures are correct. Some of the eco-milers claim to get best mileage from having their tires inflated(cold) to 10% less of the max PSI rating on said tire.
Remove any gaudy crap that may have been installed onto the outside of the car. Buick-esque fender escutcheons, book shelf rear wings.
Clean out the cars interior, remove anything that did not come with the car from the factory. Ditch the subs, remove all those books/papers/clothes from the trunk.
If you feel up to modifying your car some more, check out http://ecomodder.com/
l love this stuff l say it all the time SEAFOAM. in the intake u can spray it,the can u can pour into brake booster line/gas tank/ engine oil(change after a 100 miles or so) cleans up alot of carbon buildup and junk. will clean up engine and injectors to give better performance and mileage
