Hello all I have a bit of a predicament. I have a 1997 Accord SE 4cyl that needs a new speed sensor I hear this was a common malfunction for this year and engine type. I just wanted to know if there is more than one speed sensor on my car

Theres 2 one on each front wheel

 

cool thank you the one I need is on the trans is there any other ones under the hood and I thought the two on the wheels were only on V6 models

 

If you are referring to the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) there is only 1. It is attached to the top of the transmission.

The sensors that are attached to the wheels are ABS related and are referred to as wheel sensors or wheel speed sensors. There is one on each wheel (4)
